How-To: Enter a tangent function - OpenOffice.org Math
- To enter a tangent function, first click on the "math commands window" here.
- Next, once the cursor appears, type in "tan."
- Afterwards, enter the angle that you want to use for the tangent function. In this case we are going to use the greek character "alpha" as the variable.
- The markup for "alpha" is "%alpha." Just type this in enclosed in a parenthesis like so.
- Great! We have entered a tangent function! Congratulations!
