  1. To use the "star symbol" or asterisk in entering a multiplication expression, first click on the Math "commands window" here.
  2. Next, simply type in your multiplication expression. In this example, we will use "a" and "b" as factors and a star or asterisk between them as the multiplication operator.
  3. Great! As you can see our expression has now appeared on the formula display. Congratulations!
