How-To: Enter a Binary Logarithm - OpenOffice.org Math
- To enter a binary logarithm, first place the cursor here on the "math commands window" by clicking on it once.
- Now, once the cursor appears, type in the word "log"
- Next, type in an "underscore." Just hold down the shift key and press the "dash" (-) key once. Then release the shift key.
- Then, type in the "base" of the logarithm that you want to use enclosed in "braces" (curly brackets) like this.
- Good! Now, we shall place the "number." For this example we are going to use the variable "x." So we are typing it in enclosed in a parenthesis like so.
- Great! Our binary logarithm is complete! Congratulations!
