How-To: Hide toolbar buttons using the customize dialog window - OpenOffice.org Calc
- You can hide toolbar buttons using the customize dialog window.
- In this example we are going to hide the "Save As" button located here.
- To do this, first click here on the "View" option.
- Then, on the menu that opens, move your mouse over the option "Toolbars." This should cause a side menu to appear.
- On the side menu, look for the "Customize..." option and click on it once.
- Once, the Customize dialog window opens, click on this down arrow and choose the toolbar where the button you want to hide is.
- Since, the "Save As" button is in the Standard toolbar, we are clicking on its name here.
- Once, selected you should see the buttons for the toolbar here. To hide the buttons just uncheck the box beside it by clicking on it once.
- Good! We have hidden the "Save As" button for now.
- Afterwards, just click on "OK."
- Great! As you can see the "Save As" button has been hidden. Congratulations! You have learned how to hide buttons using the customize dialog window.
