How-To: Modify a style's paragraph indentations - OpenOffice.org
- To modify the paragraph indentations of a particular style, first remember to open the "Styles and Formatting" window. You can do this quickly by pressing "F11" on the keyboard.
- Now to start, look for the style you want to modify. In this example we are modfying the style "Text Body." Choose its category and then right click over it when it appears on the styles list here.
- A menu should then appear. Click on the option "Modify..."
- The window for editing styles should open. Now, look for the "Indents & Spacing" tab and click on it once.
- Now, you should see the indentation options before and after text here.
- Across them you should see the fields that adjust the indentation. You can click and type in a value if you want or you can click on the arrow keys beside them to increase or decrease the indentation.
- Afterwards, click on "OK."
- Great! Notice that the paragraphs with the "Text Body" style have changed their indentations to match what we've set. Congratulations!
