How-To: Start OpenOffice.org appplication for the First Time
- To start OpenOffice for the first time, click on the Windows "Start" button.
- Select the "All Programs" item from the menu.
- Select the "OpenOffice.org 2.0" item from the sub menu.
- Select the "OpenOffice.org Writer" item from the sub menu.
- The splash-screen shows the progress while loading the application.
- This "Welcome" wizard appears only the very first time when an OpenOffice.org application is loaded.
- Click the "Next" button to advance to the second step.
- Please, read the license agrreement.
- You must scrolldown to the bottom of the agreement, before you can accept it.
- You must scroll down to the bottom of the agreement, before you can accept it.
- Click the "Accept" button, to advance to the next step.
- Enter your name and Initials. They will be used in document templates and to mark your changes to a document.
- Click the "Next" button to advance the wizard.
- Select your mode of registration.
- Click the "Finish" button to finish the wizard and start the application.
- Done.
