  1. To filter or select styles that apply for characters, first remember to open the styles and formatting window first.
  2. Now, look for the "Character Styles" button. It should have an icon with the letter "A" like this. Click on it once.
  3. Great! As you can see the list below now displays the different styles you can use for text or characters. Congratulations!
