How-To: Modify a paragraph style's shadow to merge with next paragraphs - OpenOffice.org
  1. This screencast demonstrates how to modify a paragraph style's shadow so that it merges with the next paragraphs' shadows.
  2. To do this, first remember that you need to have the "Styles and Formatting" window open. You can do this quickly by pressing "F11" on the keyboard.
  3. Now, look for the paragraph style you want to modify and right click over it.
  4. When the context menu opens, look for the "Modfiy..." option and click on it once.
  5. The options window should appear. Look for the borders tab. If it is not open yet, click on it once.
  6. Below the shadow style options, you should see the checkbox for the properties option "Merge with next paragraph." Click on it once to enable it.
  7. Afterwards, just click on "OK."
  8. Great! Notice that the shadows have changed, and now cover all the paragraphs as a whole. Congratulations!
