How-To: Open an OpenOffice application using the Quickstarter - OpenOffice.org
  1. To open an OpenOffice application using the quickstarter, first right click over the quickstarter icon here on the system tray.
  2. Then, once the menu opens, look for the kind of document you want to work on. This should correspond to a matching OpenOffice application.
  3. In this example, we are choosing the option "Drawing." This should open the application OpenOffice Draw. Just click on it once.
  4. Great! As you can see OpenOffice Draw has opened along with a blank drawing.
