How-To: Enable the first character capitalization auto correct feature - OpenOffice.org
- This screencast demonstrates how to enable a feature that automatically capitalizes the first character of sentences.
- First notice that if we enter text in the lower case, all the characters including the first one, stays in the lower case. No "auto correct" feature has been enabled.
- To enable the auto correct feature we want, first click here on "Tools."
- Then, on the menu that opens, click on the option "AutoCorrect..."
- The "AutoCorrect" window should open. Look for the "Options" tab and click on it once.
- Next, look for the option "Capitalize first letter of every sentence." Click on the checkbox beside it to enable it.
- Afterwards, click on "OK."
- Good! Now if we type in text, notice that the first character is automatically capitalized.
- Congratulations! You have learned how to enable the feature for the automatic capitalization of the first character in sentences.
