How-To: Downloading Open Office
- To start downloading Open Office, open your internet browser.
- To go the Open Office Website...
- Type in www.openoffice.org in your address bar.
- Once the page has loaded click on get OpenOffice.org
- Usually the latest version is the one readily available for download.
- Now choose how you want to get the copy of open office.
- For our purposes we are downloading it directly. Click on Download OpenOffice.org
- Now select your Operating sytem. In this example we are choosing the Windows Version
- You can read some reminders about Open Office before starting your download.
- Afterwards just scroll down.
- Start the download by clicking on "continue to download."
- Some browsers would need confirmation if you want to download something.
- Confirm that you want to download and save the installation file by clicking OK.
- Select where you want to save your installation file.
- In our case we want it in the desktop.
- and then click save.
- The download dialog appears. Wait for the download to finish.
- Once the download is finished find the file you just downloaded.
- There we go! You are ready to install Open Office.
