  1. This screencast demonstrates how to apply character styles to text, using the "Styles and Formatting" window.
  2. First, you must have the styles and formatting window open. You can do this by pressing "F11" on the keyboard.
  3. Now to start, click on the "Character styles" button here. Look for the button with the lettter "A."
  4. Now, select the text or characters that you want to format. Click and hold the left mouse button over one side of the text and then move your mouse across them.
  5. Once the text you need is selected, release the mouse button.
  6. Next, go the style and formatting window, and double click on the character syle that you want to apply.
  7. Great! The character style has been applied to the text. Congratulations!
