How-To: Snap objects to guide lines - OpenOffice.org Impress
- To snap or align objects to the guide line, you must enable the "Snap to Guides" option. Do this by first clicking here on "View."
- Then, on the menu that opens, move your mouse over the option "Guides."
- A side menu should appear. Now, look for the "Snap to Guides" option and click on it once.
- Great! The "Snap to Guides" option has been enabled. We can now align the objects to the guide lines automatically.
- Now, notice that If an object is dragged near a guide line, it will automatically align or "snap" itself to that guide line like so.
- This means that you don't have to be accurate in positioning an object to the guide line. As long as it is dragged near the line it will align itself.
- Congratulations! You have learned how to enable and use the "Snap to Guides" option.
