How-To: Move the slide number area in the master slide - OpenOffice.org Impress
  1. To move the slide number position in the master slide, first remember to go to the slide master view. It should typically look like this.
  2. Now, look for the slide number area. It should look like a text block with the word "<number>" within it. Small guide notes also should indicate that this is the "slide number area."
  3. Now click and hold the left mouse button over this area to start dragging the slide number.
  4. While holding on to the button, move your mouse towards the area of the slide where you want to put the slide numbers.
