How-To: Insert a new slide with a specific layout - OpenOffice.org Impress
  1. It is possible to insert new slides with a specific layout, instead of starting with a blank one.
  2. To do this, first move your mouse to the tasks pane layouts area.
  3. Now, choose the layout you want for the new slide by looking through the layout choices here.
  4. For this example we are choosing the "Title, Chart" layout. Right click on the layout to bring up the context menu.
  5. Then, on the menu that opens, click on the option "Insert Slide."
  6. Great! As you can see we have inserted a new slide and it has the title and chart layout.
  7. Congratulations! You have learned how to insert slides with specific layouts.
