How-To: Hide the footer on the first slide - OpenOffice.org Impress
  1. It is possible to hide the footer on the first slide.
  2. To do this, first click here on "View."
  3. Then, on the menu that opens, click on the option "Header and Footer..."
  4. The header and footer window should appear. Click on the "Slide" tab here if it is not yet open.
  5. Next, look for the option "Do not show on first slide" and then click on the checkbox beside it.
  6. Afterwards, just click here on "Apply to All."
  7. Great! Notice that the footer has disappeared here on the first slide.
  8. But on the other slides...
  9. ...they appear as they should.
  10. Congratulations! You have learned how to hide the footer on the first slide.
