How-To: Format the slide text color- OpenOffice.org Impress
  1. To change the color of text in slides, you must first double click on the text block where the text you want to format is located.
  2. Next, select the text by clicking and holding the left mouse button on one side of it. Afterwards, move your mouse across the text.
  3. Once you're done selecting text, release the mouse button and then click here on "Format."
  4. One the menu opens, click on the option "Character..."
  5. The character window should appear. Now, if it is not open yet, click here on the font effects tab.
  6. Next, look for the font color options here. Click on this down arrow to view a list of colors.
  7. Once the list opens, look for the color you want for the text and click on it once.
  8. Once you're done, click on "OK."
  9. Great! We have changed the font color of this text. Congratulations!
