Text

Text is a broad concept generally referring to the written words of a language. Basically a group of characters or words that express a certain language can be considered text. Texts are now written upon various media and today more and more text are now digitized and seen via computers.

The primary and fundamental use of text is to communicate a message from the author to its reader. This can take many forms, from newspapers, books, pamphlets, web pages, computer and other form of media that is supposed to be read.

Nowadays one of the best ways in manipulating and creating text is via word processors such as Openoffice.org These let you type in and manipulate text as you see fit. All of the other OpenOffice.org fully support the creation of text in making its documents.
