Scalable Brackets
Scalable brackets are simply brackets
that change
in height depending on the content within it. They are used in writing complex formulas where
some expressions need higher brackets that span more than one line. Such as in cases when
complex expressions are divided using the "over" symbol or when you want a 3x3
matrix
to be enclosed in a bracket.
You can use OpenOffice.org Math
to insert
several kinds of scalable brackets including, scalable angled brackets, braces, parenthesis,
square brackets and double brackets.
