Options Dialog

The Options Dialog is basically a detailed control panel for Open Office. It lets you specify a lot of general settings when working with Open Office The Options dialog box is located by going to "Tools>Options…" and is found in all Open Office Applications.

The basic things that you can change in the options dialog are the User's data, loading and saving options, printing settings, paths to important files and directories, color defaults, language settings, Internet settings and chart settings.

There are context sensitive options however. These options are only available when you access the options dialog through a specific Application. For example, when you open the Options dialog within Writer there will be extra options for changing the settings for Writer. When you open the Options dialog from Calc however, the Writer options are replaced by Calc options. The same is true for most other Applications like Impress, Draw and Math.

Please note however that the options for Base are always present in the Options Dialog of all other Applications.
