Numbered List
A numbered list a list of items
that is marked by numbers. Each items is a
paragraph
.
The number corresponds to the certain order of the items and no number repeats itself. Numbered lists are also called ordered lists.
Numbered lists are used mainly to list related items that should be ranked in a particular order for example a task list ordered by their priority or a list of locations used as directions.
OpenOffice.org Writer does arrange the numbers in the list automatically. It re-numbers the list, if an item is added or removed.
The numbering schema is not restricted to digits.
For example the order in the list
can be indicated by letters from the alphabet
or
Roman numerals.
