Graphic Style
The graphic style refers to the way a graphic such as an image, object or chart appears on screen.
This includes slide formatting elements such as its shadows, background filler, the line or borders around it,
transparency, dimensions, alignments,
tab stops and other settings that determine how a graphic
looks like.
Graphic styles are mainly found when you are working with OpenOffice.org Draw
and Impress
. These styles basically format graphics with
predefined settings that apply to which part of the document a graphic is in, or how you want an object to look like.
For example, if you want to format an object so that you want it to loose its fill color, you can apply
the graphic style "object without fill" so that only the outlines of the object can be seen and no
fill colors are set within it.
Besides assigning a graphic style, you can also modify and create them as well.
Graphic styles are related to other style categories
such as Frame styles.
