Formula Bar
The formula bar is a toolbar
in
the spreadsheet
application OpenOffice.org Calc
.
It contains the most frequently used actions
to
edit formulas
and a field
for the formula
or unformatted value of the
selected cell
.
Formula bar has the following elements:
- Name box – Contains the cell reference(s) of the currently selected cell(s).
- Function Wizard Button – Featuring a "f(x)" icon; leads to a dialog where you can insert different functions and their parameters into a formula.
- Sum – Featuring a "Σ" icon; inserts a SUM function for the selected cells.
- Formula Field – Labeled by an equal sign "="; displays the formula for the selected cell and allows editing.
- Cancel Button – Featuring an "red cross" icon; Cancels any changes made to a formula in the "Formula" field.
- OK Button – Featuring an "green check mark" icon; Confirms the changes made to a formula in the "Formula" field.
