Formula Bar

Formula bar has the following elements:

  • Name box – Contains the cell reference(s) of the currently selected cell(s).
  • Function Wizard Button – Featuring a "f(x)" icon; leads to a dialog where you can insert different functions and their parameters into a formula.
  • Sum – Featuring a "Σ" icon; inserts a SUM function for the selected cells.
  • Formula Field – Labeled by an equal sign "="; displays the formula for the selected cell and allows editing.
  • Cancel Button – Featuring an "red cross" icon; Cancels any changes made to a formula in the "Formula" field.
  • OK Button – Featuring an "green check mark" icon; Confirms the changes made to a formula in the "Formula" field.
