Font Size

The font size refers to how big or small the characters and numbers of a is. It is measured in something called “points” which is the smallest unit of measure used since early printing days.

The default font size is usually 12 points or "12 pt." In most OpenOffice there are a few standard font sizes like "10 pt," "12pt" up to "72 pt." It is possible however to customize a font's size by specifying it a lower or higher value that the standard ones. This even works up to the second decimal digit level.
