  1. To save your drawing as a drawing template first click here on file.
  2. Then, on the menu that drops down, click on the option "Save As..."
  3. The "Save As" window should then appear.
  4. Now, if you want to set a different file name for the template, just click on this field and type in the name you want.
  5. Next, look for the "Save as type" field and click on its down arrow here.
  6. A list of file types should drop down. Look for the option "OpenDocument Drawing Template (.otg)" and click on it once.
  7. Afterwards, just click on the "Save" button here.
