How-To: Set a template as the default spreadsheet template - OpenOffice.org Calc
- It is possible to set your saved spreadsheet templates as the default template when you open a new spreadsheet.
- To do this, first click here on "File."
- Then, on the menu that opens, move your mouse over the option "Templates."
- A side menu should appear. Look for the "Organize..." option and click on it once.
- The template management window should open.
- Now, look for the "My Templates" folder here, and double-click on it.
- You should see the list of saved templates appear below. Right click over the name of the template you want to set as the default.
- On the menu that opens, look for the option "Set As Default Template" and click on it once.
- Afterwards, click on "Close."
- Now, let us test if our new setting worked by opening a new spreadsheet. Just click on this down arrow, beside the "New Document" button here.
- On the menu that opens, click on "Spreadsheet."
- Great! As you can see instead of the original blank spreadsheet template, the template we set has been opened. Congratulations! You have learned how to set the default spreadsheet.
