Select a range of cells by dragging the mouse - OpenOffice.org Calc

How-To: Select a range of cells by dragging the mouse - OpenOffice.org Calc
  1. One of the most common and easier ways of selecting cells is by dragging the mouse.
  2. To do this, first click and hold the left mouse button over the first cell you need selected.
  3. Then, while still holding the button, move your mouse through the other cells. This basically "drags" the selection to a range of cells.
  4. Once you've selected all need, release the mouse button.
  5. Good! Now we are ready to format the cells. For this example we are just adding a fill color to them by clicking on this button...
  6. ...and then clicking on the color we want for them.
  7. Great! The cells have been formatted! Congratulations! You have learned how to select cell ranges by dragging the mouse.
