How-To: Protect Sheet - OpenOffice.org Calc
- To protect a sheet, click on the "Tools" menu.
- Select the "Protect Document" item from the menu.
- Select the "Sheet..." item from the sub menu.
- The "Protect Sheet" dialog appears.
- Click in the "Password" field and type a password.
- Click in the "Confirm" field and repeat the same password.
- To finish the dialog, click the "OK" button.
- Notice that protecting the sheet will only protect cells that are formatted as protected.
- Also, notice that only direct changes are prohibited. Changes of value resulting from dependencies on other cells are still possible.
- Attempts to directly change a protected cell in a protected sheet will result in a Warning message.
