Protect Sheet - OpenOffice.org Calc

How-To: Protect Sheet - OpenOffice.org Calc
  1. To protect a sheet, click on the "Tools" menu.
  2. Select the "Protect Document" item from the menu.
  3. Select the "Sheet..." item from the sub menu.
  4. The "Protect Sheet" dialog appears.
  5. Click in the "Password" field and type a password.
  6. Click in the "Confirm" field and repeat the same password.
  7. To finish the dialog, click the "OK" button.
  8. Notice that protecting the sheet will only protect cells that are formatted as protected.
  9. Also, notice that only direct changes are prohibited. Changes of value resulting from dependencies on other cells are still possible.
  10. Attempts to directly change a protected cell in a protected sheet will result in a Warning message.
