How-To: Paste cells using the toolbar - OpenOffice.org Calc
- When pasting cells using the toolbar, you must have something copied or cut already stored in the clipboard.
- In this example, we have cut two cells here one of which had a formula within it.
- We are going to paste the cells on to another sheet. To do this click on the sheet tab where we want to paste the cells.
- Once on the next sheet, click on the location where you want to paste the cells.
- Next, go to the toolbar and click here on the "Paste Button," it should have a clipboard and paper icon.
- Great! We have pasted the cells here.
- Take note that cells can carry all of its content including formulas when cut/copied and then pasted. So if you click on a cell...
- ...you will notice that the formula is preserved. Notice as well that the cell references in the formula have updated to preserve the function and its result.
- Congratulations! You have learned how to paste cells using the toolbar.
